Data Center Leader (System Administration)

Job Summary:

IEC Data Center Leader is responsible for managing the overall strategy and direction of the data center in Bangalore.

The responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to) defining and designing the lab IT architecture, working with various lab managers to execute on them, showcasing Sun products, increase adoption of SUN products, driving efficiency improvement initiatives and interfacing with SUN IT on various issues.

The job involves setting up common infrastructure for multiple groups at IEC. This includes setting up Jump Start Servers, maintaining network infrastructure, setting up Multi-Boot systems and managing various OS installations on the test setups. It also involves setting up storage configurations like SAN, NAS and DAS and working with the product groups to setup the storage environment.

The candidate is expected to configure and support Windows Domain configuration, ADS Configurations, Microsoft Exchange Setup and Backup applications.
The candidate is also expected to work with the various groups at IEC and in the US to ensure the lab infrastructure is in-line with the requirements of the team, and also ensure smooth shipment of systems to India and to IEC.

The candidate should know and work with various vendors in Bangalore to facilitate procurement of systems and hardware and help out with C&E, CAMS & Solar requests for various Product groups.

Required Knowledge:

• System Administration Skills
• Solaris administration
• Windows Domain Administration and Network Configuration.

Years of Experience:

• 7-9 Years of System administration experience
• Willing to do hands on.
